Background

During her early career in China, Ms. Wenying Li was a computer systems programmer in the R&D department of Lenovo China Corporation, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Software. She previously acted as producer, director and host of TV talk shows for China Television. She has interviewed more than 100 CEOs of prominent corporations, the talk show called ‘The Challenge in 2000’, it was a well-known program on China Education TV. She founded CRTVU-Online Educational Technology Corporation - the largest distance learning company in China, where she served as board director. Since 2002, Wenying worked  with the China Ministry of Education, Basic Education Department to produce and direct more than 300 episodes of public school ESL education TV shows, called ‘Synchronization English Classroom’, broadcasting daily on CCTV (China Central TV) in China to help Chinese students to improve their English. There were about 10 million students involved this TV program. In 2002, she received a national award for English TV program producing. In 2006 she was appointed as an international ambassador for the Word Congress on Information Technology. Wenying also serves as Director and Vice-President of the China Infrastructure Investment Corporation.
